Abstract

Material thinning is very important in the production of quality stamped products. Also, the materialís Forming Limit Curve (FLC) offers important information about the materialís formability. This paper presents a numerical tool and obtained results about the influence of geometrical characteristics of the flanged holes regarding feasibility prediction in sheet material forming. Finite element method is used in order to perform this numerical tool and results obtained are presented and discussed. There are also presented some observations and conclusions regarding the obtained results.
