Authors: MINA ZIAEI NAFCHI , TAGHI JAVDANI GANDOMANI

Abstract: Knowledge management has been a challenging issue in software projects. D ue to the knowledge driven nature of the software products, paying enough attention to this concept is necessary. Recently, Agile methods are widely used in software companies. A big challenge in these methods in associated with knowledge management, is la ck of formal communication and documentation. Meanwhile, several knowledge management models have been proposed in which Leavitt’s model is famous one. This study tries to adopt Leavitt’s model to Agile methods and map this model to structure of the Agile methods.

3. TREND ANALYSES OF PARAMETERS OF EQUATIONS FOR MINIMUM FAIRNESS PROPORTION ACHIEVABLE IN UBICOMP MANETS USING LOCATION-AWARE TRANSMISSION.

Authors: M. KALEEM GALAMALI , NAWAZ MOHAMUDALLY

Abstract: Managing energy consumption in ubicomp remains a significant topic of research. To assist in this issue, MANET transmission may be prone to future successes [74]. Despite all development of strategies for energy containment in MANETs, including application of location-aware transmission, it is still true that the software engineering notion of modelling in ubicomp is in its embryonic phases. Energy management is crucial because of constrained battery power of ubicomp nodes and its cost implications. A prior study was carried out [23] to quantify and model the Minimum Fairness Proportion (Min_FP) recordable for CBRs for node densities of 7 until 56. The corresponding model was perceived to be the decreasing exponential model. In this paper, the next level of investigation is set forth as: “What are the trends of variation observable within each parameter of the equation of curve obtained for metric Min_FP [23] over varying node densities?” Studying the behaviour of components of applica

Abstract: there is a rapid growth in cellu lar networks due to the huge turnout for it, but all this happening without the current generations being fully utilized in terms of spectrum. Due to the nature of the cellular system where areas are divided into cells that have limited capacity, some area s might have larger populations causing the full utilization (congestion) of the cell whereas other areas might be serving a far less user base leading to the underutilization of the cell meaning that the overall system isn’t utilized properly. In order to solve this problem load balancing has been proposed with different approaches that ranged from tinkering with the cell reselection parameters or the cell’s shape and coverage. However these methods have failed to catch on thus far for a number of reasons and load balancing is still currently done manually using radio engineers. In our research we explore a mathematical model for load balancing in 4G LTE networks. We have proposed the addition of Wi

Authors: HANADI MOHAMMED ABASS , MOHAMMED ALI , SHA XUEJUN

Abstract: The demand for wireless systems has been growing rapidly over the recent years due to improved reliability, high data rates, seamless connectivity and low deployment costs. MIMO systems are the most efficient leading innovation of wireless systems for maximum capacity and improved quality and coverage. Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) in combination with Orthogo nal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) can provide spectrally efficient and ISI free communication. The Fractional Fourier transform (FrFT), as a generalization of the classical Fourier Transform, was introduced many years ago in mathematics literature . In this paper selecting the optimal order of the fractional Fourier transform, the modulated signals can match the time - varying channel characteristics, which results in a mitigation of the inter carrier interference. Furthermore, an algorithm is present ed for selecting the optimal order of fractional Fourier transform, and the impact of system parameters on the opt

Authors: ELENI ROZAKI

Abstract: In our Big Data world, the amount of text being gathered is ever expanding. For many years, data curators have sought ways to group thes e documents and identify common topics. As the size of the problem increases, solutions that will scale are needed . The purpose of this work is to present a novel text classifier that can be used for text - mining and interactive information access. The mode l that is demonstrated can be used to extract hierarchical relations between topics , as well as to conducted unsupervised clustering of documents and keywords. The approach that is taken with this model is the use of a graph - of - words key term extraction an d a dimensional projection of the bipartite graph of documents and key terms. This projection makes it possible for terms to be co - clustered in an efficient manner in relation to their documents and the documents in relation to their terms. Furthermore, t h e key term extraction process that is outlined can be scaled on a large corpus us

Authors: HIROAKI HIGAKI

Abstract: In a large - scale high - rise building, elevator systems with multiple elevator cars supports m obility of users. Since current elevator controller system s o nly achieve user’s requirements as the existence of requests of mobility directions in each flo or, it is difficult for multiple elevator cars to stop at the same floor simultaneously even if there exist unevenly distributed requests in some specific flo ors. This results in low service ratio causing numbers of bumped passengers and in longer waiting time duration of the users. This pa per proposes a novel method for registrations of user’s requests through a smartphone application. Due to achievement of mo bili ty request of each user through his/her personal device, the elevator controller system acquires numbers and distribution of i ndividual mobility requests and detailed control of elevator cars including simultaneous stops of multiple elevator cars at th e same floor is realized. Abstract: The purpose of this paper, is to provide a solution to the issue of dependence for elderly people in the context of an ageing population phenomenon. In rural areas with a low population density, isolation has negative impacts on everyday life. In France, the ageing population raises the fear of a serious increase in the number of persons suffering from disabilities and in need of assistance. In Corsica, population ag e ing is substantially increasing. Given this critical context we are try ing to develop a system of connected objects called SmartAngels to support proximity - based solidarity. It consists of a meshed network of autonomous Zi g Bee microcontrollers, in which various actors can exchange information by means of an accurate interface design. Its main task is to support both proximity - based solidarity and social relat ionship s in rural environments. Moreover, the SmartAngels device grid ensures optimal neighbo u rhood solidarity in case of a serious problem by creating a

Authors: CHULSOON PARK , HONGSUK SUNG , SANGCHEON LEE , SUNGMOON BAE

Abstract: The market size of plant projects in overseas is so large that domestic EPC project contractors are actively seek ing the overseas projects and then trying to meet completion plans since successful fulfillment of these projects can provide great opportunities for them to expand into new foreign markets. International EPC projects involve all of the uncertainties commo n to domestic projects as well as uncertainties specific to foreign projects including marine transportation, customs, regulations, nationality, culture and so on. When overseas project gets off - schedule, the resulting uncertainty may trigger unexpected ex ceptions and then critical effects to the project performance. It usually require much more time and costs to encounter these exceptions in foreign sites compared to domestic project sites. Therefore, an exception handling approach is required to manage ex ceptions effectively for successful project progress in foreign project sites. In this research, we proposed a me

Authors: DJAMILA BOUAISSA , RACHID CHALAL

Abstract: One among the major concerns of managers since the emergence of Information Technology (IT) in organizations in the sixties is to prove that the IT /IS (information system) investments have a positive impact on the organization. Over time, the IS’s evaluation dominated the research in IS field. Several variables of IS measurement, called IS success measurements, like user satisfaction, system use, organizational performance and u ser decisional performance [41 ] were developed and considered as substitute for the effectiveness of IS (IS e ffectiveness is measured against the achievement of objectives according to Hamilton and Chervany [ 25 ]). User satisfaction is the most use d in measuring the success of IS and their impact on the organization. This article focuses on the "user satisfaction". Through the analysis of a set of selected articles from the literature about the evaluation of IS , w e have developed a class model (using UML formalism) about the construct user satisfaction.

Authors: PATHA SREEDHAR , SURYAKANTH V. GANGASHETTY

Abstract: The proposed work exploits acoustic cues at various levels and incorporates them in the present (Spoken Term Detection) STD frame work. Recently proposed new syllabification method [1] for speech signal is being used for STD . In STD, a query and reference speech signals are provided, these speech signals are syllabified using the new syllabification method and features like Mel - frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC), posterior grams are extracted. These features are then matc hed using template based match techniques like dynamic time warping (DTW) at syllable level instead of regular frame level. This essentially reduces the unwanted matching done at frame level.
