1. URBAN RENEWAL IN FAVOUR OF POOR PEOPLE AT HISTORIC CENTRE OF SHIRAZ CITY

Authors: MOHAMMAD REZA EMTEHANI

Abstract: The total area of Shiraz city is 18622.79 ha of which the central area of Shiraz city is 375.82 ha is being deteriorated. The Deteriorated central areas in Shiraz city is located in historical and cultural texture, so these places are full of historical monuments and it has its own urban heritage and cultural identity but now its historical, economic and cultural identity is in threat of blighting. Renewal our city is the penalty for neglect and irresponsible civic management with negligent urban housekeeping allows obsolescence to spread. It causes sickness, crime delinquency, traffic, death and injury. We not only need to defend our standard of living, we need to achieve it. The necessity for government to give its assistance has been clear and it is evident that private enterprise, unaided, is not able to provide an adequate supplyof satisfactory housing to meet the wise variations in the income levels of all the people. Historically, urban renewal of old or inner-city areas of Shir

Authors: MIRKO MEBOLDT , MORITZ MUSSGNUG , MORITZ MUSSGNUG , QUENTIN LOHMEYER

Abstract: The application of eye tracking technologies becomes more and more relevant in the research of human behaviour. Due to advances in the usability of eye tracking systems, the reduction of its costs and improvements in its accuracy and precision, the number of users grows constantly. Today, eye tracking is already well-established in neuroscience, psychology, industrial engineering and human factors, marketing/advertising and computer science. The results within these research fields show the very high potential of eye tracking to gain new insights in the thinking and acting processes of human beings. In engineering design research the usage of eye tracking is still at its beginning. This paper presents the basic idea to learn from the disciplines that are more experienced in eye tracking experiments and to transfer successfully applied approaches to engineering design research. Based on this idea two eye tracking studies from engineering design are presented. The first one investigates

Authors: HOMAN MEMON , NAIMATULLAH SHAH , SADIA ANWAR

Abstract: Today many organisations face the hurdles of downsizing or many of them collapsed because of the unethical behavior. Organisational justice describes the perception of people towards the treatment that has been given to them from the organisation in which they are working, and make them realise that either they are getting fair treatment or not. Employees’ perception of the fairness of treatment support to their behavioral reactions to such perception which can also decrease absenteeism and turnover, and increased employee job performance, job satisfaction and motivation. This study proposes to examine the relationship of distributive, procedural, informational and interpersonal justice factors with the ethical behavior of employees in a developing country. Although, many studies have given further insight towards the study of organisational justice which has enhance the scope of study in the past few years, whereas little work has focused on the relationship between justice perception

Authors: IBRAHIM AL-MAYAHI , SA’AD MANSOOR

Abstract: Information Security Systems are a set of systems, policies and procedures put in place to protect information and ensure access to information is only available to sanctioned users of the system. Whilst hardware and software components are always essential in the safe-guarding access to digital information, in evaluating the security of an information system is it essential to consider the behaviour of human users who form an integral component of the system. The Information Security Culture of an organisation reflects the set of behaviours of human operators where these behaviours may impact on the security of organisations information. This paper demonstrates the evaluation of particular e-Government organisations Information Security through questionnaire

Abstract: Green Supply Chain Management(GSCM) focuses on integration of ecological concepts with the supply chain strategies of the organizations that will enable them to reduce their environmental burden by minimizing the utilization of energy and material. There is a growing confidence among the researchers that GSCM performance can be enhanced through effective management of the soft factors. Keeping this fact in view this research has been framed to check the association of soft factors with GSCM performance. Twenty six soft elements under six scales were identified from literature which was included in the questionnaire. A questionnaire survey was conducted using a sample of 144 employees from the mining companies operating in India. Multiple regression analysis was employed to check the association of the six soft factors with GSCM performance. The result was in support of five research hypotheses that top management commitment, employee innovation, team work, work culture and minimizing e

9. WHAT ENGINEER’S COMPETENCIES FOR INNOVATION MARKET?

Authors: NATALIA SHMATKO

Abstract: Technical competencies and specific engineering skills alone are not sufficient in the modern labor market but employers expect engineers to actively promote the products they create. Engineers often perceive their skills differently than employers do. Insufficient university training in a number of fields including the development of social, management and communication skills leads to an objective and understandable gap between the perceived and the required levels of such competencies. Based on the results of a survey of 3158 engineers conducted in 2011 in the Russian Federation, the study shows a number of deficits in the perception of innovation skills and the respective demand for these.

Authors: AYU SRIKANDI AGUNG

Abstract: Employees are one of determinants to bring a company reaches the goals. In working, happiness and satisfaction are not enough to create best outcomes. Employee might be happy and satisfy in works, but it is possible that they are not productive. Employee should give something, which is not only limited in the contract, called engagement. PT. Suwanda Karya Mandiri (PT. SKM) is one of private-owned company as a consultant engineering in Indonesia operated in Bandung, West Java. High turnover and less responsibility in this company make the engagement of employee questionable. This research combines three theories of employee engagement from The Institute for Employment Studies (IES) Engagement Model and American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) Theory as drivers of employee engagement, and The People Metric Theory as a form of employee engagement.
