Abstract: “This paper presents the implementation of an adaptive edge-detection using Simulink. Simulink is a simulation modeling and design tool and GUI based diagram environment. The Simulink based customizable framework is designed for rapid simulation, implementation, and verification of video and image processing algorithms and systems. An edge is the boundary between an object and the background, and indicates the boundary between overlapping objects.The Edge detection process detects outlines of an object, scene text and boundaries between objects and the background in the video image.
