2. THE EFFECT OF EXCHANGE RATE CHANGE ON THE PRICE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT VEGETABLE CROPS IN EGYPT

4. SECOND GENERATION, INTEGRATION PROCESSES AND CULTURAL AFFILIATIONS. A STUDY WITH A GROUP OF STUDENTS

Abstract: The presence of second generation students, a structural element of the Italian school system, increased in school year 2013/14 and records an incidence of 9% of the total school population (Borrini, 2014), testifying a stable first generation of migrants’ settlement in Italy. The aim of this study was to explore the representational framework that a group of second generation students has on: quality of integration processes; heritage and Italian culture; some identity and group dimensions. Results seem to delineate a moderate orientation to biculturalism.

5. THE IMPACT OF TAX INCENTIVES ON THE PROCESS OF INNOVATION CREATION IN POLISH ECONOMY

Abstract: The effective implementation of fiscal instruments in innovation policy, can help countries to achieve sustained economic growth and improve their competitiveness. In case of Poland, the lack of fiscal incentives which could increase business sector’s propensity to invest in R&D and encourage greater cooperation in the area of research and innovation, appears to be the serious hindrance in narrowing the technology gap in comparison to the most innovative economies. The paper analyzes the most popular types of R&D tax incentives, taking into account their effectiveness, such as tax credits, enhanced allowances, accelerated depreciation or preferential tax rates. The results of conducted analysis reveal that the existing fiscal incentives in Poland encourage only imitation or are directed to the selected entities. Abstract: The present and future of an organization can be defined in term of viability, sustainability and continuous progress. These terms depends on manager’s role. The criticality of manager’s role can further increase by the tough competition that most organizations have in today’s business. To handle the complexity of manager selection process , this study proposes an MCDM decision making framework to model relative preferences of different manager characteristics by applying network approach. The framework consists of different layers where criteria and alternates can be specified. The network approach increases the relative preferences among different criteria.

11. PERSONALITY TRAITS, SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE, SOCIAL SUPPORT AND JUVENILE DELINQUENCY

Abstract: In present research the author examined the relationship between personality dimensions, social intelligence, level of social support, and juvenile delinquency. She used personality questionnaire BFI, scale of social intelligence TSIS, scale of social support CASSS, and self-report delinquency scale SLP on a sample of 264 adolescents aged 14 to 20 years. The author found out that extraversion and neuroticism do not connect importantly with the juvenile delinquency; pleasantness and conscientiousness significantly negatively predict the level of juvenile delinquency, processing of social information as one of the dimensions of social intelligence positively predicts juvenile delinquency, on the other hand, social awareness is negatively associated with delinquent behavior. Social support from significant people, especially parents and good friends, negatively predicts juvenile delinquency.

12. PREDICTING ELECTORAL BEHAVIOUR IN TURBULENT TIMES: THE VALENCIAN COMMUNITY CASE (SPAIN

Abstract: Lack of recovery of unemployment, more taxes, deterioration of the welfare system, high level of corruption and public debt, and lack of confidence in the Government’s labour are driving a large proportion of the electoral register to support new emergent political parties. In this paper we construct a mathematical model to quantify this electoral change in the Valencian Community. By using a population model and splitting electoral options into five main categories, we modelled the dynamic transits among electoral choices by quantifying the expected electoral support scenario in the Valencian Community for the next local elections.

13. ETHICAL APPROACH TO CORPORATE REDUNDANCY PROCESSES

Abstract: This study is an attempt to define an illustrative path for a holistic cognitive exploration in a structured and systematic manner of redundancy process from an ethical approach. The systematic approach tries to make the organization aware of the different possible impacts on people along the whole restructuring process. As a consequence, this research is focused on the conceptual analysis of the different possible ethical considerations throughout the sequential stages within a prototype redundancy process. The findings are the result of logical qualitative analysis through twenty seven in-depth interviews: to people facing redundancy, Human Resources Managers and remaining employees of three different multinational companies.
