Authors: AHMED SABEEH YOUSIF , OMAR AHMED MAHMOOD , ZAID OMAR

Abstract: With advance of high speed computer networks, multimedia, transmission technology, an amount of information is being communicated in digital form .Numerous watermarking techniques have been developed to protect images with high security performance. For the proposed method, shifting is applied for embedding stage, add to that our contribution in this method involved the threshold concept to improve the visual quality, embedding capacity, data loss of the host image. The performance of the proposed watermarking schemes have been evaluated by using the watermarked images of size 512×512(standard images) and also applied (medical images), and the watermark (payload) is of the same size as the host image. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm generates high performances in the visual quality, PSNR,SSIM between original image and watermarked image, and the hiding capacity compared to the previous works.

4. HIGH PERFORMANCE GATE-STACK FABRICATION PROCESS OF GE-MOS STRUCTURE FOR FUTURE ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Authors: HARUKA FUJIWARA , HIROSHI YAMADA , MITARO NAMIKI , TOMO UENO , YOSHITAKA IWAZAKI

Abstract: Si has been widely used as primary semiconductor materials for electronic device fabrication. Due to the limitation of its electrical properties such as electron and hole mobilities, however, Ge would be one of the candidates for future electronic device materials because of its higher mobilities of both carriers. However, since GeO2 which composed of Ge-O chemical bonds is known to have water solubility and it reacts with Ge substrates at high temperature, it is well known that GeO desorption occurs at GeO2/Ge interface during higher temperature annealing, as well as during the course of higher temperature oxidation process itself. In this research, we attempted to improve interface characteristics by depositing Hf on the GeO2/Ge structure and applying heat treatment (PMA: Post Metallization Annealing). As a result, it is clearly shown that the decrease of Dit value by the PMA, and the leakage current was reduced and insulating property was improved by applying PMA. We consider that a

5. FPGA OVERLAYS: HARDWARE BASED COMPUTING FOR THE MASSES

Authors: CHENG FEI PHUNG , DOUGLAS L MASKELL , XIANGWEI LI

Abstract: The hardware acceleration of compute intensive applications has definite advantages, particularly in terms of energy and application latency. Heterogeneous programmable system-on-chip (SoCs) FPGA devices, which combine general purpose processors with reconfigurable fabrics, provide a compelling platform for IoT applications. However, FPGA devices are constrained due to significant design productivity issues and a lack of suitable hardware abstraction. For FPGAs to compete as general purpose computing platforms they must be better virtualized, as eliminating the need to work with platform-specific details would make them more accessible to application developers who are accustomed to software API abstractions and fast development cycles. In this paper, we discuss the role of overlay architectures for enabling general purpose FPGA application acceleration.

6. AN ANALYSIS OF FEATURE SELECTION METHODS FOR MULTICLASS TEXT CLASSIFICATION

Authors: MAYANK KALBHOR , SANJAY AGARWAL

Abstract: To classify objects into different classes, feature plays a vital role. So identification of best features is a backbone of classification process. In text classification, features are simple words, having very large dimension so finding the most appropriate feature set is a big challenge. This paper includes analysis of some feature selection methods for multi class text classification and checks their results on different classifier for an email classification. We run our experiments on 20NewGroups and PU corpora datasets. Experiments are done on some well-known feature selection method like Term Selection, Document Frequency, Mutual Information, Odds Ratio, Chi square and etc. This paper concludes that Mutual Information and Chi square are most appropriate for text classification.

7. CALL DROP RATE ON CELLULAR NETWORK (CASE STUDY OF PT INDOSAT, TBK PALEMBANG)

Authors: QORIANI WIDAYATI , RAHAYU AMALIA

Abstract: Call Drop Rate (CDR) is an occurrence where when a person is making a call but without one of them (both the caller and the person who is called) disconnect the call suddenly the phone was disconnected by itself, because of the poor signal quality usually caused by something. For example the failure of a network to handover, Congestion, weak signal transmit power and others, with various parameters that can interfere with voice services, it is necessary to have an appropriate analysis to overcome the problem of Drop Call so that there will be an effective solution. The area network ,that is used for this study, is only in the area of Palembang which is in some sectors BTS PUSRI2, RAMBUTAN_PL3, DMATA_MERAH3, MAKARTI_JAYA3, and only discuss about GSM network technology based on Call Drop Rate (CDR) parameter. Based on the CDR value range, the result of the test drive and the result of the measurement data indicates that the CDR in the 4 cell is on average in the range of 3.00% or in othe

Authors: ELSHEIKH M. A. ELSHEIKH , FAWWAZ ENIOLA FAJINGBESI , NUR SHAHIDA MIDIA , SITI HAJAR YUSOFF

Abstract: Soil electrical conductivity play an essential role in proper grounding system design for dissipation of static and dynamic electric charge. However, soil properties such as pH, moisture and nutrients causes’ non-linear variation in the soil electrical conductivity. This non-linear soil impedance phenomena directly affect electrical modeling of soil characteristics for efficient grounding system design. In this paper, the electrical dependency of soil properties on overall impedance have been investigated and used to formulate a soil impedance electrical circuit equation model through simulation and empirical methods. Electrical conductivity for samples of 30kg of soil with varying properties within at a moisture range of 14%-26% where injected with impulse discharge and the corresponding plot where fitted with electrical circuit simulation until a proper fit was achieved. The result shows that soil electrical impedance can be modeled with a complex circuit having both capacitive, re

Authors: H. SOEJIMA , N. NAKASHIMA , N. ONIMURA

Abstract: Clinical notes in medical institutions are essential not only for information sharing among medical staff but also\ for analysis to improve medical activities. Especially, the record of free description is important for grasping the situation of the patients. However, manually recording has the problem of input labor and fluctuation of expression by the person who records. In order to solve this problem and enable statistical analysis and mechanical analysis, templates are expected. This paper proposes an interactive support system for defining medical record template for each disease by extracting feature words corresponding to the disease from medical records using machine learning. We constructed an interactive system that displays the context of those characteristic words as a directed graph. A pull-down template can be generated from this graph. We developed a system to generate such graphs interactively for 123,736 free description clinical records of a hospital and examined its
