1. ORTHOGONAL MATCHING PURSUIT WITH A NORMALIZED RESIDUAL BASED STOPPING CRITERION

Authors: LING-HUA CHANG , WEN SEN LIU , JIA FU WU

Abstract: Orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) is a commonly used algorithm in compressed sensing (CS) for estimating a sparse vector/signal x from linear measurements y m , where m n . There are two generally stopping criteria adopted in the iterative OMP. One, assuming the number of nonzero entries of the sparse vector x is known, stop the algorithm after exactly K iterations. The other halt the pursuit if the strength of the residual is smaller than some threshold. These two criteria respectively rely on certain knowledge about the signal and the environment/noise. We propose a normalized residual strength based stopping criterion, which can be employed without the information mentioned above. Numerical results show that under some circumstances, the proposed criterion leads to a smaller normalized signal reconstruction error as compared to that achieved by OMP with exact K iterations and the conventional residual strength based stopping criterion.

2. TEAR FILM BREAK-UP DETECTION BASIS OF YOLO NEURAL NETWORK

Authors: TAI-YUAN SU , TSUNG-YEN TSAI

Abstract: Tear film unstable is one of the major features of dry eye syndrome. One diagnostic method is fluorescein tear film break-up time test, this test is limited by its subjective and necessity to use manually reading the fluorescent image to identify the break-up area and thus variable result. The previously study use a deep convolution neural network to perform an automatic method to detect the fluorescent tear film break-up detection. However, the method is complex and required a lots of computer power. In this study we use a real time data segmentation method You only look once (YOLO) to screen the tear film break up pattern in real time mater. We demonstrate that YOLO is effective method and comparatively fast for recognition and localization in fluorescent tear film break up test. Experimental verification proves their high detection ability, location precision and real time processing speed using modern graphics processing unit.

3. A REVIEW OF DIAGNOSE HYPERTENSION USING FUNDUSCOPIC IMAGES WITH NIPPING IN INTERSECTIONS OF ARTERIES AND VEINS

Authors: TAI-YUAN SU , A.K.A.WIJEWICKRAMA , K.A. DILINI T. KULAWANSA

Abstract: In modern medical field detecting nipping is done manually by ophthalmologists to detect hypertension of a patient. This is mainly done by the doctor using a gonioscope or by examines a fundus image of the patient. This proceeding may takes extensive amount of time and when the ophthalmologist has large number of patients to examine, this can be frustrating. In this review I discuss how this process can be automated under the supervision of an expert so that when the ophthalmologist receives the fundus image of a patient, he will get data of that patient that if he has hypertension symptoms in his fundus or not. With an assisting tool like this the efficiency of a typical fundus examine process can be increased in an exponential rate. A system like this will also open more and more ways to other approaches regarding same methods and technologies.

Authors: B.L. SWAMI

Abstract: The failures of different categories of roads are predominant in huge developing countries like India. As a result of improved connectivity the traffic is increasing on existing roads, so need of evaluation arises to provide a safe and smooth riding. Falling weight deflectometer (FWD) and Benkelman beam deflection (BBD) are prominent techniques in India for strengthening and evaluation of existing pavement. FWD is non-destructive testing for evaluation using Dynamic Loading seems more accurate than BBD method which have static loading pattern. But in India later one is used quite dominantly than first one. So this paper deals with difference in overlay thickness required for strengthening by these two techniques, cost reduction by Providing Optimized overlay thickness. For this study 3 homogeneous sections on Existing Bituminous Stretch of NH-102 in state of Bihar were selected .Traffic survey, Evaluation of existing subgrade, Pavement Condition Survey ,Different laboratory tests neede

14. DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF DUAL SPLIT RING RESONATOR

Authors: TAHIR EJAZ , HINA IMTIAZ

Abstract: n this study a novel non-planar dual split ring resonator (DSRR) has been proposed to achieve high sensitivity and produce variable resonant frequencies and quality factors. This has been achieved by varying distance between two conventional split ring resonators (SRRs). Four different materials i.e. glass, mica, rubber and plastic are used for the analysis of SRR and DSRR. Effects on quality factor and resonant frequency of the two structures through HFSS software has been studied. Due to the insertion of materials in gap of resonator, electric field is perturbed. Perturbation results change in resonant frequency and quality factor of resonator. It was observed that different material resulted shifts in resonant frequency and quality factor in different manner due to unique material permittivity. Hence different sets of shifts in resonant properties were obtained. Results of both conventional and proposed design are presented and compared.

18. A REVIEW OF AUTOMATED DIAGNOSIS OF GLAUCOMA USING DIGITAL FUNDUS IMAGES

Authors: K.A. DILINI T. KULAWANSA

Abstract: Glaucoma is a typical reason for irreversible blindness in worldwide and also Glaucoma is the disease where the pressure of eye ends up with the nerve fiber damages in optic nerve. In some patients optic nerves can damage even in regular or low eye pressure due to other weaknesses. But, that kind of situations are rare. In other world, optic nerve damage depends on the capability of handling pressure by the fundus area. If fundus with optic nerve is too weak, even low-pressure situations also can cause the damages to optic nerve and cause blindness. Glaucoma is classified as a silent disease which does not have signs until it causes blindness. This paper explores and presents a review on Automated Diagnosis of Glaucoma Using Digital Fundus Images. Such, Fundus Images have identical glaucomatous features. Detection of those features help to diagnose Glaucoma and control the blindness.
